We are a multi-locational, multi-cultural and inter-generational community of disciples on a mission. Jesus came so we may have life in its fullness (Jn 10:10), and we commit ourselves to that life in the daily life of prayer, service, fellowship and caring for one another. Many of our members are active parishioners of St John Vianney Parish and we are grateful for the occasional use of parish facilities for healing services, training, and outreach programmes.
Established throughout Aotearoa, we have grown to about 400 men, women and children, in Auckland, Wellington, Hawkes Bay, Nelson, Blenheim, Christchurch, Timaru, Oamaru, Dunedin and Invercargill.
“But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s own people, chosen to proclaim the wondrous acts of God who called you out of darkness into his own marvellous light.” (1 Peter 2:9)
Through our rich cultural mix, we believe we are called as disciples to live out in solidarity with one another a Gospel way of life.
Our Kairos New Zealand programme in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch supports youth from the age of 10 onwards, towards their teen and young adult years, in friendships and mutual support. We have prayer meetings, socials, sports activities, winter and summer youth camps, night rallies, fellowships and many other youth activities.
With links to an International Christian Association called The Sword of the Spirit, we believe that community transforms God’s people to minister to others an experience of God’s love. Through these pastoral links, we share resources, teachings and an understanding of the Christian community today.
